PrancerPrancer (1989)

IMDB rating: 5.60

Plot: Jessica, the daughter of an impoverished apple farmer, still believes in Santa Claus. So when she comes across a reindeer with an injured leg, it makes perfect sense to her to assume that it is Prancer, who had fallen from a Christmas display in town. She hides the reindeer in her barn and feeds it cookies, until she can return it to Santa. Her father finds the reindeer an decides to sell it to the butcher, not for venison chops, but as an advertising display.

Another of my 'unique' poems, please comment, I have no comments on my other poems!?
The eye of the beholder
Tells a story,
Sometimes it’s colder,
And others it’s gory.

The stomach of steel,
Is an unpleasant sight.
Digesting horrible meals
With all of it’s might.

The hand of the carrier
Buries your fears.
Builds up a barrier
No signs of tears.

The toe of the dancer
Is saver of fall.
Light as an prancer
But stiff as a doll.

Again…it’s unique…I did it during art class.
Thanks guys! I’m not good at rhyming poems but people keep emailing me saying for me to rhyme in my poetry :S

I enjoyed it, and yeah, it is pretty unique. Which is probably why I enjoyed it =p I didn’t quite understand the last part, but it does leave something to the imagination.

Also, in the line "Light as an prancer", it should be a instead of an :]

It had a good flow, but it sounded like a lesson in choosing words that rhyme instead of having a central theme. In the last stanza ‘toe’ is the subject, so the ‘toe’ is "Light as a prancer, But stiff as a doll."?
Do you see?

I love the way it starts each section off with a body part. It really builds up an image of a personality. My favourite line is "Is saver of fall". I would like to hear more of your work.

Thingum says it well. And whomever told you a poem must rhyme is a can short of a six pak. I would suggest reading some of the more famous poets writings…see the way words are used and your own inspiration will fly. Keep writing!
